The Jurewitz Law Group Injury & Accident Lawyers is proud to introduce our two new door guardians, known as Dvarapala in Sanskrit. Attorneys Ross and Lee Jurewitz picked out these two protective soapstone statues during a recent vacation to Bali and could not wait to have them take up their post at the entrance to our San Diego office.
The hand-carved statues represent the Hindu god and monkey king Hanuman – a central character in Hindu mythology known for his incomparable strength, unwavering composure, and swift intellect. He is revered for his dedicated service to the powerful god Rama and for blessing people with hope and confidence.
Traditionally, dvarapala serve as guardians of ancient temples, armed with frightening visages along with various weapons, ready to dissuade evil influences from entering. We like to think our Hanuman statues will convey just how seriously we take our role as personal injury attorneys in protecting those who have been harmed by others’ negligence.
